Group Accountant

About the role:
Group Accountant is responsible for supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, as well as performing financial analyses, reconciliations, and reporting activities at the group level. The role includes working closely with group companies on accounting and reporting topics, assisting with consolidation matters, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as auditors and advisors. Additionally, the position involves participation in group-wide accounting and reporting projects, as well as contributing to the optimization and digitalization of accounting processes within an international team.

Task and responsibilities:
· Support in the preparation consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
· Preparation of ad hoc analyses, reconciliations and financial evaluations
· Assistance with consolidation topics and IFRS related accounting matters
· Support of group companies in accounting and reporting topics
· Interface to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. auditors, advisors, consultants) in a supporting capacity
· Participation in group wide accounting, consolidation and reporting projects
· Support in the coordination, optimization and documentation of group-wide accounting and consolidation processes
· Involvement in special projects, in particular related to new accounting standards, system implementations and digitalization initiatives
Your Qualifications:
· Completed degree in Business Administration, Economics or a comparable field with a focus on Accounting or Finance
· 2–3 years of professional experience in the industry or audit/advisory at a Big 4 firm (or a comparable international environment)
· Basic to solid knowledge of IFRS and group accounting principles
· Very good MS Office skills; SAP knowledge is an advantage
· Very good command of English, both written and spoken
· Basic German communication skills would be an advantage
· Structured, reliable and detail oriented working style
· Strong analytical skills and affinity for numbers
· Regular presence in Graz and close collaboration with the Group Accounting team
